Pros

Leadership was always pushing us to outperform our previous team's and year's results. I always felt like I had the latest technology information at my fingertips. I'm not sure if this was a company wide occurrence or just related to the passion that our particular team had for technology. I felt like the majority of the leadership team cared about me beyond the four walls of our big box store. They were understanding in unusual personal situations and worked with me to arrange accommodations for time off in those situations. Pay was reasonable and the benefits package was above average.

Cons

I always felt like there was something happening that I didn't know about. Promotions were kept secret until weeks after the official decision was made. Often times, departments would have leadership in place yet have no clue who the leader was or why they were chosen. It also didn't feel like issues discussed with leadership received much respect. Even when these discussions were specifically requested to be private and confidential, it always came about that several other people somehow were aware of the situation.

Pros

Learn a lot on the job. Great place to entry level in tech. Geek squad has a lot of independence from the store when I was there.

Cons

Proper scheduling. If people call out they do not try to fill role they simply expect you to do more. Rotating schedule, Your on and off days will change week to week.

Pros

No Need to sell or deal with customers (Much) Constantly moving so you always have a task to do Management leaves you to your own devices Almost all warehouse employees have a set of headphone

Cons

Everyone (Cust & employees) Expect an encyclopedic knowledge on where every single item is. Management seems to think we can lift a 85" tv, pull a washer off the top shelf, stock gaming shelves, and handle store pick up at the same moment. Customers think we don't want to help them when we call someone else to help with sales There's almost too much to do and even though we may have 1-3 employees working at a time, 1 is at the door, 1 is behind store pick up, which leaves 1 employee to handle new orders, deliveries, and down stocking.
