Pros
My co-workers. For a company that lacked consistency, policies, and procedures, I was able to work with some really great people who had the strong work ethics that I had.
Cons
This was a start up and I was told that there were still some things that needed to be worked on and ironed out. They were not kidding. I was so excited to come on board and despite the absence of any real training, I was blessed to have the help of a co-worker that got me through the first couple f weeks then I just went on my own. The company was growing fast and at the time I came on, there were a few other new-hires as well. I saw immediately that there was no process for pretty much anything. All the PM's did their own thing. Whenever I asked management of the proper way to do anything, I was given the same response. There really was nothing in place "yet" but they were working on it. While there were several great employees. there were a handful of others that came and went as they pleased, took long lunches, left early and really failed to do their job, leaving the bulk of their work to there. Management noticed because us employees that were doing our jobs were questioned about those slacking, however nothing was addressed or done about it which only lowered morale.
