Pros
I joined Bandsintown after working at Facebook for over 7 years. Since I joined Facebook in the very early stages and witnessed it transform the way people communicate, it's very easy for me to spot how Bandsintown is revolutionizing the music industry and the way artists connect with fans. It has already more than 35 million users & 420 thousand artists on the platform and it's growing rapidly every single day. I'm constantly blown away and inspired by how passionate, hardworking, and determined everyone in the company is. They move fast, take initiative, and stretch beyond their role description. I really enjoy the work style and approach of all my colleagues: they're result-oriented and data-driven. We periodically set goals and make sure everything we do is aligned with the overall team/company goals. We measure all our projects and take actions based on data. Teamwork is essential in everything we do at Bandsintown. Even though we have several offices (New York City, Long Island, Montreal, San Diego, Los Angeles, Europe), we operate as one solid team and collaborate strongly. We value everyone's opinion regardless of titles. Feedback is crucial in everything we do and we communicate with ultimate transparency. The upper management and the leadership team cares about the people so deeply. They know that the people are the number #1 asset to this company. They organize monthly happy hours, team lunches/dinners, summer parties, holiday celebrations, team building activities, festivals, etc. This September, the entire company is going on a company retreat for 4 days. All offices will fly into a resort and we'll have several team building activities, developmental sessions, trainings, and a lot of fun activities. There's no doubt that they invest both energy and money on the employees.
Cons
There aren't real cons I can think of. Because we're a smaller company, often times people need to wear multiple hats and own a variety of responsibilities so this may be exhausting for someone who's not used to this agile work environment. The platform is evolving everyday so one needs to be open to change to work for this company.
