Poor management from top to bottom. Unrealistic expectations from SLA standpoint. Department head is stuck in the analysis paralysis stage of commercial underwriting and more experienced sub-level managers refuse to challenge him and are playing along to get promoted. Denver underwriters especially have no chance of getting promoted. Corporate talk is all about promoting within, which is one of the biggest lies I've heard in my nearly 20 years of banking. Expect to work 10 to 12 hours a day and weekends to keep your head above water. There is absolutely no work life balance here.
