Pros
There really are no benefits to working at Avant-garde, unless you like being stressed out all the time, subject to random requests from a flaky CEO, or don't have any other options.
Cons
The list of negatives is as long as you can imagine: 1. The CEO is a crazy micro manager who doesn't know what he's doing. He can't even function properly in meetings. He just comes off as a weirdo. 2. Very very low pay. 3. Worthless stock options which are structured to screw the employees. 4. The company has been "in business" for a long time, but doesn't actually have a real product. It's all manual data analysis. 5. People join the company, work here for a year or so, and then move on because it's only a get-rich-quick scam by its founder. 6. The programmers are all over seas and mean well, but they're bad at their job. The CEO also hates working with them and constantly badmouths the remote team in meetings. 7. Everyone is constantly scared of actually talking to Derek since he's libel to go off the handle at any time and start yelling at people. 8. Other companies are doing the same thing that AG is doing, but with much more success.
