Pros
- Competitive Salary - Consulting lifestyle is cool. You get to switch projects and teams every so often and it keeps things interesting - Nice office in a great downtown location near Go Train - Lunch and learns, company events etc. - Good work/life balance. Not too many long hours, but depends on your project.
Cons
- Confusing and concerning on-boarding process. Didn't know what was going on, so I felt alone in the dark. But it was fine as the months went on. - Your first project might be a boring, low-value, low-visibility project with minimal coding. But then again, you might be assigned to a project which is using awesome machine learning algorithms to cook hot dogs faster, with an AngularJS front end. Bit of a gamble here, but the long term looks like there will be more wins than loses.
