Spineless Leadership, favoring Office Politics over Tangible Results - Business Analyst Availity Employee Review

Pros

Onsite counterparts within the Technology group were extremely knowledgeable, engaging and excellent to work with. Other areas within the company seem to provide an atmosphere that is positive and work-friendly

Cons

If your professional tool-kit consists of a strong work ethic with solid organizational and communications skills, then these assets will not be viewed as valuable if you work on one of the technology teams. Faced with an unorthodox and unprecedented road block presented by a remote employee who was openly hostile, served as a bottleneck by prohibiting any direct access to clients or business partners, and failed to provide or pass along critical and sufficient project information in a timely manner; as well as dealing with non-technical, unsupportive leadership that turned a blind-eye when faced with any type of adversity = An Employee Set up For Failure. After reviewing previous reviews on the company from over a year ago, it appears as if others have been subjected to similar experiences within the Availity culture at the Jacksonville branch. In previous roles an employee that is detailed, organized, and proactive is seen as a valuable contributor. However, under the non-technical rationale of some leadership these traits were scrutinized and condemned.

Pros

Great culture and people. As long as you’re doing your job and producing, I have not run into any micromanaging etc. work life balance is awesome

Cons

Silo’s are common but getting better each day. That can happen with remote companies. Lots of new products and changes with new leadership etc so need to adapt
