Pros
The benefits were pretty decent (medical, dental and vision insurance), but it changed in 2012. I would say it's still good, but new employees don't have it as good.
Cons
The pay for police seems to be quite high, but a lot of the civilian positions are lower than that of similarly sized cities in the US.
