Pros
Lunch on Fridays and social events
Cons
Unfortunately Atlantic BT has a lot of issues, most of them are due to the lack of real experience in any organization other than Atlantic BT. The CEO hasn't really had a real job outside of Atlantic BT and it shows. He doesn't face problems head-on, time and again he has refused to listen to employee feedback, and he thinks being solution-oriented means having more social events. Meanwhile, turnover has been disgraceful, most of the leadership there have been there for so many years they have no idea what they're doing, and it's extremely disorganized as a company. The developers believe they have near-perfect skillsets but it is not the case. They are 'ok' at best. Before coming here, I had a lot of experience with developers and honestly many are much more talented then what you have at ABT. The problem is that no one is really trying to get better. There is no training or development and absolutely no managing. Since no one is actually giving anyone meaningful feedback, no one really grows as an employee. You find out frequently through the grapevine that the President is not honest with most people, and he's a people pleaser. I'm still not sure what he does. The technology that ABT works out (outside of AWS) will be obsolete soon, and no one is doing anything cutting edge. It's just a run-of-the-mill agency that's poorly managed from top to bottom.
