Pros

Good benefit package --- medical insurance and 401k were reasonable. Free lunch every workday was fantastic. The environment overall was very friendly with multiple employee and family events ranging from golf to summer picnics.

Cons

In my department, the politics became too much as hiring and promotion becasue a game of seniority and political connection over competency. And once Aristocrat bought out VGT, they began slowly eroding the culture and replacing it with their own which was noticeably more corporate. Less funds were spent on employee events, benefits waned or became more expensive for the employees. My friends still there are not abandoning ship, but very much report it as more of a "meh" place compared to the old days.

Pros

Excellent company. Clear winner in the sector. Treats its people well even as it manages through business cycles and need to be leaner in some areas. Committed to maintaining industry leadership through heavy investment in best content / products.

Cons

Nothing major. Could move faster at times, but making progress there.
