Pros

I have been with the company for 7+ years. There are employees that have been around for 10+ years. Not sure why the disgruntle employees are so bitter. I guess there is a reason why they are ex-employees. Appsential has been around for 10+ years if they are as bad as what others say, then they would be out of business a while ago. I was laughing at someone saying the partners are idiots. I would like challenge that person to own his/her company and see if they are as successful as appsential. I for one do not want to own a company because it is a tough job to be responsible for all of those employees and manage the contracts.

Cons

The management style is different. But it works at times. Nothing is perfect. But I found that the management team are open to suggestions.

Pros

I have been with the company for a number of years and I was surprised when I first came to Glassdoor and saw how many bad reviews the company had. Appsential seems to have a very good retention rate and most people I work with are happy at their jobs. The company has a lot of senior resources who are extremely knowledgeable and happy to share that with other people in the company. Appsential also does a good job of providing a work life balance for its employees. While there are definitely certain times of the year or roles where more is expected, in general people are averaging forty hours a week. Additionally, Appsential provides competitive pay and lots of exposure to the partners/upper management. People that work hard and do a good job are noticed quickly and rewarded with more responsibility/opportunities.

Cons

Appsential faces the standard problems that any young small business faces like having positions available to promote people and having well communicated policies. In general as the company matures these struggles seem to be getting better, but there is still room for improvement.
