Hires from internal employees for growth, run it like you "own it," but it will burn you out.
Cons
Leadership is out of touch, and doesn't respond to feedback. I'm a product from growth within. However, most tenured/growth within people in upper management are District/Regional Mangers who have never experienced day to day store operations since Covid and payroll cuts, while still expecting extremely high standards for visuals, merchandising, hiring, payroll, last minute markdowns, etc.
If you don't drink the "Kool-Aid," you are targeted. Personally know tenured former employees with 10-20+yrs experience leaving this brand, myself included!
Also, constantly marketing to different product classes without proper research or design, resulting in stores having to make huge visual changes when these classes do not preform...ala poor quality athleisure during Covid while making this a metric for Bonus goals (unattainable while then scrambling for payroll to adjust floor planning and markdowns for the underperforming class.)
