Pros

Good relationships within smaller teams Jewish Public Holidays

Cons

- Management use scare tactics, do not care about employees wellbeing or progression unless they are among the favoured few. There is a dead atmosphere on the 8th floor whereby staff are afraid to talk and are never supported. - Massively high turnover on this floor. - Progression - promotions are given out to those in favour and often are never even advertised. When they are advertised, those people interviewing already know who they are going to hire internally - this happened most recently July/August of 2019 whereby an org chart was already seen by numerous staff prior to any advertisements. - Communication is awful. Teams do not work alongside each other. Internal relationship building is not supported and so you feel very segregated. - When new staff start, there is no welcome or introduction or induction plan. - Numerous good and senior/experienced staff members leaving all for the same reasons above.

Pros

Co-workers are amazing. Managers are helpful.

Cons

Rolling out an incomplete new operating system was a horrible idea. Creates additional work for adjusters. The processes being implemented are hindering the ability to effectively close claims. Adjusters are being told to do more with less every day. Claim counts average 180 to 200 for the last 6 months with no relief in sight. Hybrid work was promised at 2 home and 3 in office. That was recently revoked and it is now mandatory 4 days in office. With gas prices what they are, that really hurts. Corporate management seems to be focused more on obtaining #1 status and bringing in the big bucks than finding a way to relieve the stress on their employees. Mental health is non existent and if you aren't putting in 50+ hours a week there is no way to stay on top of your work load. Even then you will feel like you are barely treading water. New NICE phone system is for call centers-not claim adjusters. Not a lot of advancement opportunities unless you are someone's pet. Benefits are mediocre at best.
