They have the option to Purchase 40hrs PTO (think of it as unpaid time off). The high deductible healthcare plan covered 100% of most healthcare costs after you met the deductible.
Cons
Allina is declining and on the verge of bankruptcy. They keep laying off entire groups of people (They recently laid of social workers) and outsourcing entire departments (Lab, IT, etc) and have started to nix all the travel staff despite having nobody to fill the open positions. I was hired on as a Triage nurse, meaning my job was supposed to be about triaging patients. Instead, I found myself working as a nursing assistant, scheduler, social worker, a preceptor for jobs I've never been trained in, and took on many management duties (safety walkthroughs, medication and clinic equipment ordering, etc). I left due to burnout.
