I felt it is necessary to share my thoughts following the unfortunate loss of some great employees - Anonymous employee Alexssa Enterprises Employee Review

Refer to same number in advice section for corresponding advice: 1) Employee turnover rate is high for size of staff. 45% turnover in previous 12 months. 2) Small company feel with big company growth goals. 3) Growth seems to be overstated and exaggerated. 4) Communication flow from management is intermittent or choppy. Response is often delayed or nonexistent requiring repeated follow up to get acknowledgement or responses. 5) Team meetings are consumed by book reviews, quotes and business development lectures. 6) Engineers and techs are often thrown into the fire with new and unfamiliar tasks and not afforded the time to focus and finish them completely which leads to a continual feeling of chaos. The struggles met with performing unfamiliar tasks are seen by management as a lack of competence rather than an opportunity to provide cross training or a necessity to pair up engineers for first time efforts. 7) Total compensation is not comparable to baselines for similar roles in area. 8) Interviews can be misleading regarding job expectations and work environment. 9) Cannot contribute to 401k until after 1 year of employment. Very high price point for insurance premiums as compared to similarly sized companies in the area. 10) Although a "con" for me, this one could be seen as a pro by some. The pace and breadth of supported technology doesn't allow for specializing in a field or technology.
