Pros
Excellent experience with nursing and development of skills , a wonderful way to advance in nursing and education. So many different opportunities for learning.
Cons
Nursing units staff rude and ruthless to new staff gossip Is horrible, most nursing staff was unfriendly, unhelpful, and disrespectful especially if you were not a RN. Lpn's doing pretty much the same as RN'S and treated poorly I personally was belittled several times while employed in the first 5 months. Being given poor assignments and mad to feel out of place during shift. So bad that I would get sick in stomach prior to going to work. Literally I was called stupid by a unit supervisor. For someone else's mistake and when confirmed it was not my mistake said supervisor laughed it off with other staff never apologizing for humiliating me in front of floor staff.
