The culture of any company is set from the top, and in Airwallex the top stinks.
The CEO is arrogant, impatient (not in the good way), and reacts rudely whenever anything isn't perfectly aligned to what he thinks or understands to be correct. Most feedbacks are laced with sarcasm or contempt, and the tone of impatience is ever present. This attitude gets passed on to the middle management, who either have to shoulder immense stress at having to manage the boss, or pass the crap on to the lower levels since the general culture lets people get away with treating staff with little respect.
There is zero benefit of doubt here, everything is micromanaged, scrutinised, and questioned. Be prepared to defend every single little action item to death - and yes, it is as exhausting as it sounds.
