Pros
Great products that have really good product-market fit. The company grew to 10K customers, 350 employees and 10 products over 9 years with no sales or marketing, which says a lot about the products, company and culture. The company culture is really great - it's fast-paced but in a very good way. There's no red tape when it comes to execution, so we're quick to market, which makes it easy to test and try new things. At the same time, there is a sound long-term strategy in place. There is a great balance between a long-term vision and the ability to be agile, pivot and fail fast when it comes to execution. There is a lot of autonomy and employees truly feel valued for their opinions and expertise. Leadership is very open-minded and flexible, yet strategic. They foster a culture of critical thinking, rather than recreating pre-existing playbooks. Team members are very collaborative. There are no egos and no competition. Everyone is happy to work together as one team sailing the boat in the same direction. Everyone is open to helping others and learning from one another. Most employees are happy to roll their sleeves up and get any task done, even if it's outside of their regular day job.
Cons
The sales and marketing teams are in start-up mode so there's is plenty of room to develop processes and onboard more employees. As well, the company is global so collaboration with team members on other continents could be difficult due to the different time zones.
