Pros

It is a first step into aviation industry, with low entry requirements. Professional growth is minimal, so gain your experience and then get out!

Cons

Aero-Care pays has a dubious Collective Agreement, which came to light during the recent Tiger Airways grounding. Ground staff (including permanent) were put on leave without pay during the Tiger Airways grounding due to a clause that did not require us to be paid during an airline grounding. There is also no restriction on overnight rest, so you can finish late one night and be back extremely early the next morning. The staff turnover at Aero-Care Flight Support is very high and this results in constant inexperience and a difficult working environment. The company does not support union activity and this is reflected in the working conditions and collective agreement. The pay is much lower than other companies in the industry and staff receive no travel benefits. You will be worked very hard and have management constantly micromanaging and building "staff logs" so you can be let go at Aero-Care's whim.
