Pros
I will say that I never complained about pay or benefits.
Cons
They clearly shoot first and then aim later. They love to talk about a big picture, but then forget about it when they are a couple grand short of the goal every month without considering any consequences. Only way to get ahead in the company is to brown nose of the marketing VP, regardless of what department you work in, because if she doesn't like you, you will go no where. A bike company should be driven by the product department first, sales department second, finance department third and marketing department last. ASI has it completely backwards. The couple of positive reviews are obviously posted by upper management because I can assure you that all the upper management is still in place. I know because I just saw them all at Interbike. Required, uncompensated weekend work. Events, sales meetings and inventory. Plan on working at least 10 weekends a year without compensation. Horrible location. I hope you like gagging on the smell of strawberry milk every day. Last I checked, 4 people in the whole building had a window. 1 was the Prez and 1 was his assistant. Don't get too settled. I think I moved my desk 6 times in 3 years. Warehouse is full of untrustworthy inner city temporary help. So lock your car doors, don't pack a lunch and assume the stuff on your desk will get broken or stolen. Yes they have security cameras, but there was at least a 2 year period when they didn't know how to roll the tape back to actually see what they had recorded. If you already live in the Philly area, there could be worse places to work. Especially if you are trying to get out of a bike shop. But DO NOT move to Philly to work for ASI. You don't want to live in NE Philly and the areas where you would live are at least a 30 minute commute. Just ask upper management, none of them live within a half hour of the office. Last I checked, bike companies should not be aiding the growth of american fuel use. They didn't even have a place for employee bike parking.
