Pros

There are some truly great people working there with a wealth and depth in knowledge of a broad spectrum of technologies. There's always plenty of work to get stuck into. we get free pop!

Cons

Salary is uncompetitive and gains in new technologies are not recognised. There is no structured training at all. There is no time for training due to constant fire fighting. Staff attrition is galling. introduction of flex resource by offshoring has led to a hold on talent being attracted in the uk and poland and lack of replacement of leavers has led to a very lean core team which cannot cope with the workload. There's a focus on revenue driven development - which contracts delivery timescales and seriously impacts quality.

Pros

Good people and a pretty supportive environment overall. Work-life balance was better than a lot of other tech jobs and expectations were generally reasonable. Learned a lot working with different teams.

Cons

Some older internal systems can make certain projects take longer than expected. Depending on the team, processes can sometimes feel a little slow.

Pros

Acxiom has a good culture and provided (past tense) decent benefits.

Cons

During the IPG acquisition, there was uncertainty. That appeared to be unfounded, as IPG valued Acxiom and its employees. With the Omnicom merger, it is clear Omnicom does not value Acxiom's associates, who are what makes Acxiom valuable to them. I know of over a dozen Engineering folks with tenures of 25-40 years who have been let go and benefits are being gutted with no increase in pay.
