Pros

-At ATS, the communication is soundproof. So much that they have a specialized person for each department of this field (i.e. scheduling, expense reports, engagement and general family concerns/inquiries, etc) -Something I've yet to see utilized at other agencies that ATS does are Quality Calls. It's an opportunity to talk freely and openly with leadership and express any positives or concerns that one may be feeling throughout their experience in this field and specifically within the agency. -Reimbursement for drive time which REALLY helps in this field. -An open, online network for socializing so everyone can stay up-to-date with each other because in this field you don't normally see other techs/BCBAs within the agency outside of your individual cases.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind specifically but what I can say is that any issues that due arise, ATS encourages you to speak up and share. It's an extremely "open-book" concept here where you can have those difficult conversations and not feel awkward, uncomfortable, or out of place.

Pros

Wonderful staff who genuinely care about both their employees and the families they work with. Very quick to get BHTs/RBTs scheduled and started once you meet all the necessary state and role required qualifications compared to other ABA companies I've dealt with. Everyone from the BCs to clinical supervisors, training support team, and scheduling treat BHTs and RBTs like a valuable part of a team rather than a commodity that exists to crank out as much income as possible for the company.

Cons

Working in ABA (especially as an RBT) means a good bit of driving, spotty schedules at times depending on need in your area, cancellations by families, and other barriers that can cause some instability in hours and pay, but this is true of every ABA company and ATS staff will work hard to try to get you what you need, even if that means your scheduler has to do some complex gymnastics to make that happen (thanks Rebecca!) The pay could be higher, but it's livable and things like drive time and supervision hours are paid at a reasonable rate instead of minimum wage.
