I’ve been at ARC for three rewarding years. Three things must be in place for me to work at a company: Great people, significant values and meaningful purpose. ARC is a company where “team” is more than a cliché; the ARC Team is smart, dedicated people making significant achievements while genuinely supporting one another in a collaborative, stimulating environment. We live the core values of passion for good health—ours and that of others—self-improvement, driven work ethic, and honesty (to name a few) that the company is built on. Top management is always open to feedback and encourages and supports skills and knowledge building through training courses and attending conferences. We work with a single purpose—the desire to make a meaningful contribution and be part of something that will have a lasting improvement on the health of others. And, we have a great time on our way to realizing that ambition.

Running out of ice-cream on hot days.

At ARC, we're doing something that no one else can: developing a liquid that spreads, forms a temporary film, and prevents or reduces the formation of surgical adhesions throughout entire surgical sites - thus reducing the pain & suffering, bowel obstruction, infertility, and death that is caused by surgical adhesions! We have a fantastic, A Player team! It's so great to work with folks who are smart, creative, & driven, and are humble, kind & love the outdoors: It's awesome chatting with someone about the design of our clinical trials one minute, and the next minute talking about where the best hiking spots around Vancouver are. Following appropriate discussions & research, we make and execute decisions quickly; and we have a culture that is grounded in strong values.

We are working on getting better at celebrating our accomplishments, particularly while social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic :) .
