High-potential employees are often underutilised, unchallenged, and ultimately disengaged due to a lack of meaningful investment in their growth. There is little evidence of a structured approach to talent development or succession planning. Opportunities for advancement seem to favour tenure over merit, and innovation is frequently stifled by rigid processes and risk-averse leadership.
