Certain camps have good living and working conditions, as long as they are run by US or EU expats to international standards, and controlled by non-local management.

Owners are criminals but will mostly leave you alone. Don't expect to be able to do the job you were hired-for, especially if a "management" position. You will not have any authority whatsoever. Every decision down to the micro-level is made by the owner or his brother. All promises of bonuses or raises are false and the company will find every opportunity to nickel and dime you out of your check. The company had potential, but all profits are being squandered by the family and nothing goes back in to the company to improve its quality of work. Currently losing most of its US contracts due to negative vetting results and not meeting deliverables. They will probably not mess with you if you are from the USA or UK, but they treat their local hires like trash. I spent 3 years here attempting to improve fundamental functions within a certain department, and I was always paid on time, but the lack of advancement, empowerment, or resources to fulfill exemplary work were not there. I was in a management role and had zero authority to enact change or take care of my team who was extremely loyal to a fault. There will never be a raise, and any bonuses mentioned in the contract are bogus. Pay is 40% below market rate for same work in same locations at US or UK companies.
