Pros
There are a lot of good members in this company. Unfortunately, it's wasted talent.
Cons
There are a lot of downsides to working in this company that I can legitimately write an entire thesis about it but to save you all the time, I will simplify them into shorter bullets that are easier to digest. 1) The CEO unilaterally makes all the decisions in the company. She makes an illusion that she consults other people and considers their ideas but in the end, she will still only listen to herself. To make things worse, she really lacks foresight and logic too so most of her decisions are just making things worse. 2) She (CEO) is very defensive. She tells everyone that she is always happy to hear feedback from people but somehow, every time she is given feedback, all she does is defend herself. 3) CEO needs to get slapped back into reality and touch some grass. She plays with her team's employment status a lot, not really considering the fact that unlike herself, there are people who actually live pay check to pay check. This is really sad. I have a lot of colleagues who were full time employees that got downgraded to project based status. But even that is a lie. That's just her way of softening the blow. You're basically fired when you become part time because more often than not, no projects will be assigned to you. 4) When things go awry, the CEO always finds someone to blame but fails to see that her lack of leadership/mentorship is the reason why things are always getting out of hand. She expects her team to excel but she never provides resources. 5) She is not always present and comes and goes as she pleases. She's there when she needs something from you but is rarely available when you need her guidance. Sure, in other companies, the CEOs are not always readily available to all their constituents but this company is a special case because she likes to make all the decisions yet she's rarely available to feel the repercussions of her bad decisions. 6) CEO feels like she's just ordering a latte from Starbucks when she asks things from you. When she's requesting for things, she expects that you are able to finish them quick because you have to be "efficient" in your job. However, as soon as something is handed over to her, it takes her weeks to give feedback and once she does, she expects you to revise ASAP. I could go and on about why this company is doing terribly and you might have noticed that all the cons written about the company are all about the CEO. But truly, most, if not all the problems of the company really stems from her.
