Pros

17Capital is a great company to work for. Colleagues are wonderful and very supportive and so are the four Partners. Talent and ambition is recognised and growth opportunities are plenty. 17Capital have an excellent track record and deliver to their investors. Company had a great culture and friendly atmosphere. They are very ethical in all of their investments and monitor and report these very closely. The directors in the Investment team are very encouraging and very knowledgeable in the field of preferred private equity. It's a great place to learn and grow and they also provide internships for graduates which is excellent. As a young person, I enjoy working here and I look forward to growing with the company and expanding on my skills/knowledge and the PE industry.

Cons

Long hours, high pressure environment

Pros

The more junior employees are good people and work very hard, but their contribution is not recognized by senior management.

Cons

17Capital is a terribly managed company where employees are not treated fairly. Management's decisions are driven by politics and personal connections, rather than merit and hard work. The firm is driven by ego, arrogance and greed. They seems to have trouble committing to a decision and standing behind it, and in many instances is fickle and unreasonable. 17Capital is unfair and fosters back stabbing and nepotism among employees, encouraging them to fight for favouritism and attention. 17Capital is completely incompetent and makes decisions purely based on personal biases. They play favourites within the office and have transformed a well functioning work environment in to a school yard playground type of atmosphere. A toxic culture of back-stabbing has been brought to 17Capital, a small firm of less than 30 people. They are biased, judgmental, prejudiced, bitter, and generally an awful company to be a part of. Don't waste your time.
