Best work experience I have had
26 May 2023 - Senior Software Engineer in Dallas, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Company values align with my values Great work experience Everyone is friendly and open to talk to Great culture
Cons
Not a true con, but because I am 100% remote, and the great culture at Credera, you can not participate in the fun gathering events. But since I have been here they have improved on that and created a Remote Geo.

Truly the best company I have ever known (I've said it many times before and will say again)
12 Apr 2023 - Anonymous Employee in Dallas, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Leaders who truly care and make themselves available to all levels. Flexible hours. Leaders and team members are supportive of life changes and schedule needs. Co-workers are friends and are fun. Not a trace of harassment. Lack of drama. Mature people relate well. A mindset for continuous improvement. Making progress with DE&I. Transparency on business decisions. Leaders take the brunt of pay cuts during economic downturns, modeling servant leadership and humility.
Cons
The most common reason I hear for people leaving is simply that they found a different role elsewhere that they really wanted but wasn't possible for Credera's business needs or structure. The next most common reason is finding higher pay elsewhere.

Thank you for your review! We are so glad that you are enjoying our people-first culture and servant leadership. At Credera, our leaders strive to lead with authenticity and humility. We believe that our people-first culture sets us apart, especially in seasons of economic downturns. Our Compensation Committee and HR team continue to do ongoing, in-depth analysis on our compensation. We will continue to review this data, make changes, and communicate with transparency as needed.

Pros
The organizational structure is very flat
Cons
They take pride in calling themselves an inclusiveenvironment, but they are not. Would give them a zero in EDI. They force employees to vote for them in the best place to work surveys. Absolute nightmare. The HR team is horrible, especially for leavers.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the flat organizational culture. We hope you found our people and leaders to be quite approachable! We’re sorry to hear you didn’t find Credera to be as inclusive as you had hoped. Our DE&I team and committees have a number of initiatives they’re working on, but if you’d be willing to give specific feedback around how your experience may have been improved please feel free to email one of them or someone from our leadership team. We’d be happy to learn directly from our employees, or former employees, around how we could improve. We’re also sorry to hear you felt forced to fill out the Best Places to Work surveys. That’s not our intention. Although it is encouraged as another way to seek feedback from our employees, it is not required. We’ll try our best to be more mindful in that messaging going forward. Thank you very much for your time at Credera and we wish you all the best!

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to hear you found Credera to be friendly and collaborative! We’re glad you also enjoyed the opportunities to work remotely, as well as benefiting from our different learning and development offerings! We hope you walked away from Credera having learned new things and had new experiences, and taking some life-long friends and supporters into your new stages of life! We’re sorry to hear your experience of feeling like a cog at times, or that we weren’t doing more in regards to our DE&I initiatives. We will continue to support our various ERGs, support the coordination of formal mentorship through the ERGs, offer our Inclusive Leader Trainings, schedule celebration events with opportunities for learning around different cultures and beliefs! We hope you got the opportunity to partake in those offerings during your time here. Please let us know if you believe there were specific areas where we were lacking. We hope to only increase these offerings by gaining input from our people and their thoughts on the best way we can support them. Regarding the CPM process, we have now transitioned to a different performance planning tool, Culture Amp. We’re hoping this transition allows for more transparent and easy feedback from all levels, roles, backgrounds etc. at Credera to ensure that feedback does not happen in silos. We look forward to hearing our employees’ feedback during and after the upcoming CPM cycle on the process, new tool etc. We will continue to invest in our people as we add to our learning & development offerings, as well as continuing to offer our Training Time Off and reimbursement for external training and certifications. Lastly, thank you for your thoughts on compensation. Our Compensation Committee and HR team continue to do ongoing, in-depth analysis on our compensation. Although we believe we pay a fair wage in the market compared to similar organizations our size, we will continue to review this data and make changes as needed. Thank you very much for your time and contributions at Credera. We wish you the very best!

Credera enables long-term career growth
12 Apr 2023 - Senior ArchitectRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Credera provides opportunities for rapid, sustained career growth. You get to work with a broad array of clients across multiple industries with ample opportunities for increased ownership and leadership. Each time you switch clients you learn a firehose of new techniques and tools to add to your kit. There's almost always room to manage-up to project and client leads and to take newcomers under your wing to expand leadership experience. There's a strong positive energy within client teams and with clients themselves. People are honestly, genuinely friendly here. There's also never a fear of the end of a project being the end of your job - there's always new clients around the corner to learn more from and training opportunities for those on the bench.
Cons
This is not a "40 hours per week and done" company. There are expectations for company and/or business development outside of regular client work. This is what affords rapid growth and a healthy bench in-between projects. You need to pace yourself to avoid burning out as there's always something extra to take on if you want to accelerate your career; but even if you want to grow at a slower rate you are still expected to go above and beyond in certain areas each review period which can potentially cause work-life balance issues. The self-review process itself is also relatively time-consuming, though it has been continually improving. Also, people generally don't have much input into where they'll be staffed next. This is more of a function of how highly utilized we tend to be. Be prepared to be open to a wide array of experiences, not just one specific technical domain or role. You will wear many hats here and gain a lot of experience, but you won't always get to choose what the next hat is.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very glad to hear that you are enjoying working with a variety of clients and growing in leadership. We agree that Credera is an excellent place to broaden your skillset and experience, and we appreciate you wearing many hats! We recognize that delivering with excellence can often require our people to work over 40 hours. However, your work-life balance is important to us. We encourage you to reach out to your Career Coach if you feel like your current work schedule is not sustainable. Regarding the CPM process, we have now transitioned to a different performance planning tool, Culture Amp. We look forward to hearing our employees’ feedback during and after the upcoming CPM cycle on the process. Culture Amp should make the self-review process more efficient as well. Our new forecasting tool, Projector, will also increase visibility for staffing considerations. We are excited to begin using this new tool and gather feedback soon. We truly appreciate your feedback and suggestions.
