Pros

Recently the company was acquired to take the company to the next level. During the transition the owners continued to keep the employees interests in mind. It's been 3 months and all commitments have been kept. This says a lot about the culture!

Cons

Inconsistent planning of travel, getting better

Pros

As the company grows, they are willing to let an employee grow with them as quickly as they are capable. Very inviting working environment and open-door policy with the owners. Yearly bonuses and profit-sharing are nice incentives.

Cons

Travel can sometimes be excessive; although, there is a travel reward for days spent in the field which helps somewhat.

Thanks for your feedback. The suggestion to have remote locations is a good idea. The nature of our business requires traveling to the customer sites for commissioning. We are working on several plans to help reduce the amount of travel our employees incur with each project and are always open to suggestions.

Pros

The people are the best part of working at any job and that is definitely true at ControlTouch. No one likes to have to work, but when you work with people that are fun and truly care about you, then it makes it much easier to have to go in every day. The company was bought in Oct. 2016 and the new owner made a significant improvement to the insurance benefits and gave very nice raises to all employees in March 2017. He also added 2 more paid holidays to the calendar! The great thing is no one was laid off or forced out due to the sale. Even the original owners are still working here to help ensure the business continues to grow and move forward.

Cons

With the sale of the company, there are lots of new things happening (new systems and integration of systems) and this can make people nervous. We need to get a more formalized training program in place. While employees are always helpful to others, it would be best to train them in a more strategic way to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Communication is something most companies need to work on and this company is no exception. People really like to be kept in the loop earlier than later.
