      Promising company hampered by abysmal HR and poor middle management

      Nice company perks, good office location, very easy work. Some teams get a lot of credit and support from management.

      Cons

      There's no way around it: the company culture is rotten. HR and management take company image pretty seriously, which can be seen from the hilariously over-the-top, glowing reviews added here by the HR cronies every time there has been something negative in other reviews. Accordingly, if you want to do well at Catena, smile a lot and don't ever say anything negative about anything, not even the weather. Cliques are prevalent and some employees even get away with abusive behaviour towards others, because middle managers and team leaders are so incompetent and afraid of criticizing anyone that they'd rather pretend not to notice. Career opportunities in some teams are non-existent.
