I have been working at CIA full-time

    Pros

A lot of opportunity to move around within organization. Overseas travel opportunities. Pay and benefits are good.

    Cons

Over-dramatized and over-politicized organization, backstabbing colleagues.

    Advice to Management

Offer more opportunities to work with other teams across the organization without pitting us against each other.

I worked at CIA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good travel opportunities. And if they like you, you can advance and enjoy lots of perks that the average American will never enjoy. At taxpayer expense.

    Cons

First are the internal witch hunts against patriotic people who are reliable, have never caused a problem, and do a good job. Secondly, if they turn against you, they'll hound you out of the organization one way or the other. Of course, they'll first go through the motions and follow their "policies," but you'll never be successful once you're on the black list. But worst of all, once you're out of the organization they'll black-ball you among the clearance agencies so that you can never get another government job. And it will all be done in secrecy so that they can't be held accountable to labor laws, civil rights laws, etc. They will punish your family for a lifetime. It's a life-changing experience that you can never escape from.

    Advice to Management

They're unaccountable and don't listen to advice.

I worked at CIA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are good days and bad days at the CIA. On the best day, you're working on projects and collecting information that could save lives and prevent war. On the worst days, the projects and information you collect either do actual direct harm to people (domestic and abroad) or it gets twisted in a way that does lasting harm.

    Cons

The CIA has a racism and sexism problem which speaks to it's general lack of competence. It's astonishing that an organization tasked with an international mission fails so miserably at challenging a culture of complacent patriarchal white supremacy.

    Advice to Management

Women of color and white women are not workbooks for the teaching and training of white men. Harassment of marginalized groups in any form should be as big a deal of leaking classified information. Until that standard is enforced, the CIA is not worthy of its mission.

I worked at CIA (Less than a year)

    Pros

You have the DCIA and DDCIA pay listed below that of senior integration officer, whatever that is. I don't know the current pay but you can be assured that it is more than other officers. I believe they are Political Level pay grades above the SIS-6 level of a handful of people like the Directorate heads, probably close to cabinet secretaries and their deputies.

    Cons

I have no cons to add.
