Pros

- They are flexible about appointments you may have during the day - Casual dress code - Coworkers and customers are for the most part pleasant to work with - Laid back work environment at most times

Cons

- If you're a female, get ready to work twice as hard and defend yourself for everything your male counterparts have. Sexism, inappropriate comments, and a level of unprofessionalism can be found in the company culture. - No room for growth unless you're a male that is friends with the owner's sons. - They have extremely high turnover because there is no incentive to stay.

Technical Company Run By Salesman

Pros

A few co-workers have been some of the best people I've had the pleasure of getting to know. Technical Manager is one of the best managers I've met. Not many days that take you past the normal 8-5.

Cons

Nepotism by far is the greatest weakness of this company. If you are not a family member or a friend of the family, do not expect to go anywhere within this company. High turnover is a problem for most groups. Management has asked workers how it could improve, but is either unwilling or unable to implement the most common ways of retaining talent. The impression is that management expects it as opposed to fixing it. Wrong individuals are given opportunities. I've had the unfortunate experience of watching an individual relentlessly abuse (verbally) a newer employee. The situation was submitted to HR with no action to the abuser. The newer employee shortly submitted a 2 week notice and the abuser has progressed to a management role since that incident. No opportunity for anyone within the technical groups. The "tiers" of positions are nothing more than title changes with more responsibility. That's it. Under compensated and underemployed. A common theme in the working world today and this company is no exception. You are setup to fail, and the "failures" keep you pigeon holed.

Pros

Consistency -You will be on a team consisting of very talented, structured, and hard working sales professionals - you will learn a great deal from them, whether you're right out of college or a professional yourself. -The company has never shrunk financially year by year, or laid anyone off - ever. (To my knowledge) Performance Awareness -Management is very aware of employee performance and will let you know, and potentially reward you. Customer Service -Multiple customer service awards across several products. Reputation -CADimensions really does have a great reputation within customer circles and with business partners. This is noticeable at company/industry events and conversations with your partners and customers - others in your industry will know you are a quality individual just by association with this company.

Cons

Traditional Corporate Culture -Very old school way of doing business, even though they deal with advanced manufacturing technologies. -Operates more like a mom and pop shop instead of startup/high technology company. Compensation -Salary significantly below industry and countrywide averages. -Bonus structure is meager.
