Very poor upper management

Pros

Working with customers and end users.

Cons

I mean…the owner of the company sued a prostitute for millions. What does that tell you about these people? You better be part of the ‘in’ group, suck up to the owner and his boy or you are not part of the team. There is a reason the ‘now hiring’ banner is always out in front of the home office.

Poor Work Life Balance

Pros

I enjoyed working with the mines and end user.

Cons

Management is poor, pay is poor, travel is too heavy with drive time. Work life balance they don’t care about. They show you pictures of their joyful families on cool vacations. You will not have that same experience or opportunities. If you are a friend or family member then this place you will like. If you are a regular employee then you will be shocked at the favoritism. The employee racial mix is poor which you will learn why when working for this southern company. Having them monitor all your GPS activities was annoying especially when they are care more about where you are rather than producing steel you can sell. When you submit a report you will have 4 different people call you on your TPS report which reminds you of the movie Office Space. They always tell you the employees that leave were not a good fit for the company which you will learn this toxic culture is not long term sustainable for your career. This company will make you appreciate working for a solid company with actual values that pays you a fair wage.
