I worked at Assurant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with, every one was warm, friendly and professional.
    The work was always interesting.
    Great deal of autonomy.

    Cons

None really, salary not being assessed by location was the only challenge, in other parts of the country it was great remuneration.

I worked at Assurant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Assurant was a great place to work, friendly staff and managers.
There was room for advancement with company reimbursed training programs for further qualifications.
Benefits were brilliant as well with health, gym and bike to work scheme.
Good nights out for both teams and company.
Found management at all levels to be extremely helpful and supportive.

    Cons

No opportunity for overtime or to make extra money.
Was great until we acquired a larger company, we were promised it wouldn't affect our jobs but sure enough we were all made redundant a few months later.

    Advice to Management

None really, while I was there, they were fantastic.

    Pros

It was a Very relaxed and supportive environment, where you were let give your contribution at your pace so long as within the team’s targets

    Cons

It was too relaxed at times, to the point of lacking structure: it was not always easy to figure out what was expected from you

    Advice to Management

They should make sure that goals and targets are clearly defined, and let the employees achieve them in the same exact way they used to do it.

    Pros

This company had a talent for hiring good people with great attitudes, good work experience and the ability to fit in and create a positive working environment. The company really appreciated its employees both personally and professionally.

    Cons

Outside influences on the business put pressure on the company, which could not deliver on promised financial goals. The office was closed in July 2014

    Advice to Management

Strive to develop a winning strategy for European business.

I have been working at Assurant full-time

    Pros

Flexible working conditions, friendly staff. Good benefits like pension, gym membership and healthcare (subsidized) I worked there for over 10 years and was very satisfied in general. I worked mostly with colleagues based in the US.

    Cons

Progression is limited. Senior management can be set in their ways and not open to change. Like a lot of companies there is nepotism. Redundancy process was not at all satisfactory as we were strung along with idea that our jobs could be saved when there was blatantly no plans to save anyone's job.

    Advice to Management

    Tell the truth.

I have been working at Assurant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good starting pay for customer care representative. 28,800 in 2017

    Cons

Continuous schedule changes by the company

    Advice to Management

Be more understanding of people who have lives outside of work. The multiple schedule changes make it hard for people with children, medical obligations like dialysis, and/or school.
