Creative, flexible, family-oriented, mission and values driven. This organization thoughtfuly designs and executes innovation processes that not only benefit rural areas, but close the urban/rural gap. Agriculture is the main priority with focus areas in food systems, renewable energy, co-product (waste) utilization and biobased product development.
Cons
Primarily state funded, so funding can be a concern when cuts are a consideration. Board of Director processes need updating. The organization has broad statewide support, but politics can play a role in the development and advancement of the organization.
