Republic Western Insurance (aka RepWest) insures the stuff we can't live without and the stuff we have no room for. A subsidiary of AMERCO, the parent of DIY moving company U-Haul International, RepWest handles the property/casualty insurance needs of U-Haul, as well as its customers and dealers. The company administers and underwrites parts of the insurance products U-Haul offers to its customers. Its policies protect against damage to rented vehicles and the cargo inside them, and they provide medical and life coverage to drivers as well. Other products cover damage to property stored in U-Haul storage facilities (Safestor) and business insurance for storage facility owners.
