GP Batteries International hopes you get a charge out of its products. The company develops and manufactures batteries and chargers for the industrial, consumer, and private-label markets. Products include rechargeable button and cylindrical batteries for laptops, cell phones, and camcorders, as well as Lithium Ferro Phosphate and NiMH (nickel metal hydride) batteries. It also makes carbon zinc, zinc chloride, and alkaline batteries (9-volt batteries for smoke detectors, toys, and remote-control devices as well as cylindrical batteries for items from flashlights to boom boxes). Other products include microbatteries for watches, calculators, and hearing aids. GP Industries Limited owns 49% of GP Batteries.
