Using Lego® Serious Play® (LSP) at our Human-Machine Interface Lab, we turn abstract problems into tangible solutions—sparking insights, driving collaboration, and fostering innovative thinking. In honor of National Mentoring Month, LMI hosted an appreciation event to celebrate the mentors and mentees who participate in the MentorConnect™ program. Every holiday season for the past 36 years, LMIers have taken part in a luncheon to benefit Children's National Hospital and its mission to support kids in Washington, DC, and beyond with life-changing medical care and research Co-hosted by LMI’s employee resource groups, this annual event brings LMIers together to share a meal and contribute to the Children’s National Hospital Foundation. In celebration of Black History Month, LMI hosted a facilitated panel discussion focused on African American artists. Our panelists included Donavan Lyons, a Senior Consultant in Graphic Design at LMI, Kim Richards, a self-taught artist who practices techniques used by the old masters and other inspiring artists in her paintings, and B/ue Robin, a creator who uses various mediums such as acrylic on canvas, woodburning designs, and digital creations to spread love and promote healing.
