How might people who are deaf experience music? How can people who are blind “read the room” or experience a sporting event? How do we alleviate the disability tax? We're celebrating National Guide Dog Day by handing the camera over to one of our favorite guide dogs! Join Idabelle and her person, Perkins Library Director Kim Charlson, for a typical day navigating our beautiful Watertown campus. And remember to only greet one of these dedicated canines once they are "off-the-clock" and their owners give you express permission. Does Braille have punctuation and symbols? Absolutely! Braille contains the same punctuation marks as are found in print. But, some combinations of dots have different meanings depending on their placement. For example, the same combination of dots can represent an opening quotation mark when at the start of a word/sentence or a question mark when placed at the end of a word/sentence.
