Within the Azimut Group - Leader in the promotion, management and distribution of financial and insurance products and services -, and its Dublin-based subsidiary Nova Investment, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining the SQL database infrastructure, while supporting the firm's IT Risk Management framework. We are seeking a hands-on professional who can bridge the gap between IT infrastructure and regulatory risk management. This role suits a technically strong database specialist who also understands ICT governance and operational resilience within a regulated ManCo environment. The candidate will be involved in the following activities:

• Administer, optimise, and document SQL Server databases in the cloud (Azure SQL), including structures, procedures, and recovery plans.
• Build and maintain automated scripts for monitoring, backup orchestration, and compliance reporting.
• Ensure data integrity, performance and security in the cloud, with patching and hardening aligned to change controls and business continuity.
• Manage cloud based access rights using least privilege and role based principles.
• Integrate databases with Power BI, SharePoint, and regulatory reporting systems, and validate data accuracy with risk team.
• Implement and automate cloud monitoring alerts (e.g., via Azure Monitor) to detect performance issues and technical risks.
• Identify, assess, and monitor ICT and cybersecurity risks across the ManCo's operations.
• Enhance the ICT risk framework in line with CBI ICT Risk Guidance and DORA standards.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a degree in Computer Engineering, Information Security or a related technical fields and three to four years' work experience in managing Microsoft SQL Server databases, preferably in financial and/or banking contexts.

• Strong skills in T SQL scripting, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database and cloud storage solutions.
• Experience supporting financial reporting or risk systems in an investment management or asset management environment.
• An analytical, detail driven mindset with strong problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Good Knowledge of CBI ICT Risk Guidance and DORA requirements will be considered a plus.
• English is required and the knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus.
