To help us service the growing demand for our quality website design and build, we’re currently in the position to recruit a Junior Web Developer with a passion for high standard web development to our awesome team.

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU

The job will mainly consist of the development of bespoke WordPress themes and custom functionality based on wireframes and visuals supplied by the creative team.

You will be involved in customer support tasks including creation of training documentation and direct customer facing activities like telephone support, in-person training etc. Therefore, an excellent interpersonal manner is required.

You will also provide technical assistance and advice to the graphic design and digital marketing teams.

You will ideally have experience in most (or all) of:

• WordPress CMS
• PHP
• HTML5
• CSS
• Basic Javascript
• Basic server administration (phpMyAdmin, FTP usage etc.)
• Understanding of database technologies, particularly MySQL

The following skills are also desirable:

• A high standard of written and spoken English
• Excellent organisational skills
• PHP/Laravel framework
• SCSS (Mixins, nesting, variables etc.)
• Bootstrap 4
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Figma
• Basic CLI
• Basic Node.js (Gulp, Yarn, Grunt etc.)
• Working knowledge of SEO
• Driving license an advantage but not essential
• 3rd level qualification in related discipline an advantage
• Self-motivated with the initiative to research and problem-solve
• A pleasant demeanour, positive attitude and eagerness to develop the role
• An understanding of Object-oriented programming
• Graphic design skills/experience

This role will be based at our office in Waterford City. Full expenses and a generous salary commensurate with experience is on offer for the right candidate. Salary is intrinsically linked with department performance with unlimited potential for the right person.

You will work closely with the Graphic Design and Marketing teams in an exceptionally friendly office environment that fosters creativity, camaraderie and growth.

Pay: €32,000.00-€36,000.00 per year
