The Role
We are a leading lighting manufacturer based in Co. Monaghan, Ireland, specialising in high-quality, custom-made light fixtures for interior designers and trade professionals. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Full-Stack Developer to join our team on-site in Mullan Village and contribute to the development of our in-house digital systems.
This position requires strong skills in PHP, JavaScript, and React, along with solid database experience using MySQL and SQL. Experience building REST APIs and working with modern front-end tooling is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing in-house applications that improve internal workflows and operational efficiency.
- Creating scalable front-end interfaces using JavaScript and React.Developing and consuming REST APIs to connect internal systems.
- Enhancing existing software to improve performance, usability, and reliability.
- Debugging, testing, and troubleshooting to maintain high system quality.
- Working from project briefs to independently plan, implement, and deliver solutions.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:
Technical Skills
- Programming Languages: Strong experience with PHP and JavaScript is required.
- Front-End Development: Experience with React or similar modern frameworks.
- Databases: Proficiency in MySQL and SQL.
- APIs: Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- General Web Development: Understanding of scalable application design and best practices.
Professional Experience
- Experience developing internal tools or business applications is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to translate requirements or briefs into working software.
- Exposure to workflow automation or operational systems is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks from initial brief to completion.
- Clear communication skills for collaborating with team members.
