We are now seeking a Supply Chain & Operations Graduate to join our team as part of a 2-year structured graduate programme, offering exposure across key areas of supply chain and operations.
Function
The Supply Chain & Operations Graduate will support the day-to-day operations of the business while developing a strong foundation across supply chain Ops.
Working closely with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality and Operations teams, this role will provide hands-on experience in core business processes, supporting efficient execution, data accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The graduate will demonstrate Ballymaloe Warmth in all communications and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment, while building practical experience across the end-to-end supply chain and operations function.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Order Processing & Warehouse Support
- Support the Supply Chain Coordinator in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately on the ERP system and followed through to dispatch
- Assist with dispatch processes, ensuring all system entries and documentation are completed accurately
- Support the warehouse function in the execution of daily customer orders
Stock Control, Accuracy & Quality Interface
- Participate in stocktakes and routine stock checks, supporting the investigation and resolution of discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels, including quarantine stock, ensuring accurate system updates
- Liaise with the Quality team to support resolution of stock, data and system-related issues
Purchasing, Team & Systems Support
- Support the purchasing function, gaining exposure to supplier management and procurement processes
- Provide cross-functional support across the Supply Chain team during peak periods
- Support ongoing ERP development, including data validation, testing and process improvement
Continuous Improvement & Lean
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain and operations
- Support Lean initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and ways of working
Operations & Sustainability
- Develop a broad understanding of operations within a food manufacturing environment (FPPD), with structured exposure across key functions including manufacturing, quality, planning, and wider operational areas beyond supply chain
- Build an understanding of how cross-functional operations integrate to deliver high standards in cost, quality and service
- Contribute to sustainable sourcing and manufacturing initiatives, including supplier engagement, waste reduction, and supporting the tracking and improvement of environmental performance across raw materials and packaging
Key Skills & Experience
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business or other relevant discipline
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage data accurately
- Confidence working with Microsoft Excel and interest in ERP systems
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Clear and professional communication skills
