why would you say cloud computing is faster?

For a smaller company, we currently do not have the capacity for a robust on premises solution, so not only the time to roll out a new project, but the speed of the site is better for use when we use cloud Database/ Hosting technologies. (interviewer did not seem pleased with this answer)
