I recently participated in an interview process with Idealo, which included multiple rounds, a case study, and a presentation. I invested approximately three working days to complete the required tasks, working late into the night until 2-3 am. I only had the opportunity to speak directly with the hiring manager in the third round, after completing the case study and presentation. Unfortunately, the feedback and reasons for my rejection were based on topics that were not covered during the interview process. This has led me to question the seriousness and transparency of the company's hiring process, which resulted in undue stress and significant additional work on my part. After expressing my concerns to the hiring manager, I received a thoughtful response acknowledging the effort I put into the case study and presentation. They reiterated that their decision-making process is comprehensive and that they value candidate feedback for continuous improvement. However, they were unable to accommodate my request for reimbursement.
