My biggest mistake was trying to "rush it" as far as moving up the corp. ladder. Going from associate to manager then to senior Mgr to director of sales at a relatively young age. Truth be told, I realize looking back that I needed a little more growth & maturity before I was truly ready & confident enough to enjoy that position and do it RIGHT. I wanted the title & status of this position more than I wanted to do the job & the day to day hard work needed to be successful. I realize that our career is not a quick sprint, but a marathon. In the end, longevity & stability with a strong reputation for being the best in your position & continue to grow & learn so when your ready you will be the rock star you've been in the past.
