I applied online. I interviewed at Wasatch Mental Health (Provo, UT) in Apr 2025
Interview
Met with a manager who asked me about myself, my work experience in the social field, and gave me scenarios of individuals who come to the center and asked me what local resources I would refer them to. The job posting said you could be trained and receive the certification while working so I was a little surprised that they just expected me to list a lot of resources when I have never been a case manager before. With AI available now it would be easy to make a list of all resources available, when they are applicable and research & memorize them to prepare for such an interview.

The process of getting to the interview was fine and efficient. The interview was a little weird. The supervisor was loud, abrasive, and condescending. I wasn't expecting that from a company that is in the business of helping people with their mental health. I was told afterward that she is a little hard to handle and that I would need to have a thick skin.

Interview
This interview was a bit intense but it was a success either way. Although I declined the job after having the interview because of personal issues, it was still interesting.
