Interview
initial phone interview, then two rounds of in-person interviews which were both 3.5-4 hours long. About a week after my second in - person interview, I received a call from the University asking me to provide references that would be contacted. They were contacted, and shortly after they were i received an offer.
I applied online. I interviewed at University of Chicago in Aug 2025
Interview
Had multiple virtual rounds for a position and was never formally declined. Speaking from professional background in talent acquisition, I can easily say that this is very bad and unprofessional recruitment practice, and poor candidate experience.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at University of Chicago in Jun 2022
Interview
The process itself moved quickly, and the team seemed genuinely nice. However, after a month of interviews and positive reference checks, the position was "pulled" for reevaluation due to a supposed departmental overhaul as of July 1. Needless to say, I'm shocked out how this turned out. Luckily my current employer is very understanding of my situation. I don't think I'd apply at U. Chicago again.
