It was mostly getting to know each other and then it became a bit more technical. It didn't last for a long time and I felt stress free during the process.

I get solicited by recruiters once or twice a day and the first question I always ask to qualify is if it's worth my time "I want to be respectful of your time, do you have an OTE range in mind for the role?".
I've worked hard in my career and know what I'm worth so if an organization can't meet my minimum salary requirement I won't take the initial call and go through a process that can take weeks and hours of my time and the organization's time.
Unagi Scooters gave me a range over LinkedIn that fell within the range I would need to make a move so I continued in their process. The interview process consisted of 3 interviews over the course of 5 weeks ending on 12/1.
When I received their final offer it was 5% lower on the lower end of the OTE band(that was provided on 10/19 on LinkedIn) and a full 35% lower than the top end of the band. I had to respectfully decline the offer since they low balled me and wasted hours/weeks of time on both sides.
I would have never taken the initial call if they couldn't afford me, but we ended up wasting hours of everyone's time. In my opinion, there's more professional startups that don't play these games with potential employees.
