Intro call with recruiter --> competency first round with manager --> online personality test + logic test --> values second round with two ICs --> offer. Both interviews were discussion-based. The values interview was 5 questions, one corresponding with each of Trustpilot's 5 values. No portfolio or case study review, no mock presentations.

The interview process was relatively straightforward from a difficulty standpoint, but communication throughout the process was inconsistent. Interviews themselves were conversational and not particularly challenging, and the interviewers were generally pleasant to speak with. However, the overall process felt disorganized, with delays in communication and periods where I did not receive updates on my application status. After investing time in multiple interview rounds, I ultimately did not receive a clear follow-up regarding next steps. Greater transparency and more consistent communication would have improved the candidate experience.

Interview
Huge gap between the HQ narrative, company values, description of culture and the actual Milan experience onsite. I was very excited to see the “office vibes” as talent acquisition described but there was nothing of the sort. It could be the hiring team was under unrealistic expectations (as they mentioned the very ambitious targets), but overall I felt some sense of discrimination or as though I was wasting their time. The in person experience required a lot of preparation, travel and the pressure of the interviewer’s interrogation. It was rushed as though they had already made another selection and were checking a box by offering me the opportunity to pitch them.
All of this over a 5 month period from application to final feedback call.

4-Feedback call or offer call
And other mobile calls from HR in between.
